A few questions before you start
Short answers here. The full list is on the FAQ page.
How much do piano lessons cost?
Your first 30-minute trial lesson is free. After that, private lessons cost $50 for 30 minutes, $70 for 45 minutes or $90 for 60 minutes. Each price covers one student’s individual lesson. In-home and Edina studio lessons have the same rates, with no added travel or registration fee. See our pricing section for details.
Where do lessons take place?
Our teachers offer in-home lessons throughout Edina, Minneapolis, Bloomington, Richfield and St. Louis Park, with available times depending on your address and the teacher’s schedule. Studio lessons are with Soroush at 7300 Gallagher Drive in Edina. Live nearby but outside those cities? Contact us to ask about options.
What ages and experience levels do you teach?
We welcome students from age three through adulthood, from complete beginners to experienced players. Readiness varies, especially for ages three and four, so we match younger children with teachers experienced with that age group. The trial is a chance to explore the approach together. Adults starting for the first time or returning after years away are welcome.
How does monthly payment work?
Once you decide to continue, we confirm your weekly lesson time and start date. Your first invoice arrives before your first paid lesson and covers the lessons scheduled for the rest of that month. After that, invoices arrive before the first lesson of each month. Eligible cancellation credits are applied to the following month’s invoice.
What if I need to cancel a lesson?
We understand that plans change. With at least 24 hours’ notice, we can offer a makeup lesson, subject to availability, or a credit toward the following month’s invoice. Lessons canceled with less notice are normally charged, since that time is reserved for you and can be difficult to fill. Your teacher may choose to waive the charge for a first-time cancellation or an unexpected emergency. We support their discretion while respecting their time. Please let us know as soon as you can.
