Leslie Halverson teaches private piano lessons for children, teens and adults in their homes across Edina and surrounding Twin Cities communities. With a background in music education and student development, she combines patient encouragement with clear guidance in technique, theory and sight-reading. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, with room to ask questions, explore music and build confidence at the keyboard.

She has taught piano to children, teens and adults at different skill levels, creating a welcoming environment where they can explore ideas and work through challenges. Whether someone is beginning piano or returning after time away, her lessons offer encouragement and a clear direction for learning.
Her teaching brings together technique, music theory, sight-reading and musical expression, with materials and explanations adapted to the individual. Alongside teaching, Leslie is an active performer and ensemble director, sharing music through live performances and collaborative projects in the Twin Cities. She brings that enthusiasm for making music to students pursuing different goals, from preparing for a performance to enjoying the piano at home.

Drawing on her experience as a performer and ensemble director, Leslie helps students prepare to share their music with confidence. Our annual recital is free for students and families, and participation is optional. It is a chance to celebrate progress in a supportive setting.

Leslie teaches in students’ homes across Edina, Minneapolis, Bloomington, Richfield and St. Louis Park, with no added travel fee. Students learn on the instrument they use for practice, while families avoid an extra weekly drive. Available lesson times depend on your address and Leslie’s schedule.
Share your preferred days and times when requesting a trial, and Soroush will help coordinate a suitable appointment. For families who prefer studio lessons, Soroush teaches at 7300 Gallagher Drive in Edina.

We can help arrange weekly lessons or another trial lesson with a different teacher, and Soroush remains available for questions and support as lessons continue.
